Whether you're brand new to holistic therapies, or an experienced practitioner, this course could be just what you need. This course is intended for anyone who is keen to learn to be able to do Indian Head Massage for family and friends, and/or add this deeply relaxing therapy on to their menu of services, and business. Indian Head Massage is a powerful stand alone relaxation therapy, and also a perfect addition to many other therapies. It is therefore a great therapy to learn as a beginner, as a new therapist or for experienced therapists​
Indian Head Massage has been developed to work on all the upper body tension carrying areas; the upper back, upper arms, shoulders, neck, head, face and ears. By working these surfaces in a specific way, the whole body benefits physically, mentally, and emotionally. Through relaxation and the gentle working of the fascial connection, other systems of the body are encouraged and supported to function more effectively.​
To work on the public and charge for your services in Indian Head Massage, you are required to gain the Practitioner Certificate. To be eligible to gain this level of certification you must already have completed training in Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology, or enrol to do this certificate with the Auckland School of Reflexology.
The practical component of gaining the Practitioner Certificate is to undertake case study work; hands on sessions, and a written report. You will receive the link to this material at the weekend workshop. Once this work is completed it is submitted to the tutor. There is an extra cost of $50 for this assessment by the tutor. You will be billed at the time.
On successful fulfilment of all the criteria the Practitioner Certificate will be emailed to you.

This course consists of 6 hours of online class time with the tutor, self directed learning with the course manual and videos provided, and assessment work. Following the 2 online training classes you will receive a Certificate of Attendance. Your tutor is Karen Middleton.

If you belong to an association you will be able to claim CPD points for this course.
The Course Pack contains a detailed 44 page Course Manual, step by step Instructional Videos, and all the paperwork you will need to undertake your assessment/case study work.

​The platform used for the online classes is Zoom. You will be required to download zoom and create a free account.​ There are two x 3 hour zoom classes on consecutive days.

NOTE: There is an extra cost of $50 if you choose to go on to gain your Practitioner Certificate. This is for the reading & assessment of your case study work, and the issue of your certificate. Remember, this is dependant on your eligibility with regard to prior learning. Please read the information above.
CPD points:
6 hours of face to face class time with tutor online.
20 hours of self directed study of the course manual, practice of the techniques & routine, A & P, etc.
4 hours of assessment including the written assignment, practical case study work, and the written report.
A Total of 30 hours may be claimed from your organisation according to their allocation of criteria.
